How I Roast Veggies

If you thought a recipe couldn't be any simpler, here's one that's quick, tasty, and sure to make veggies more enjoyable for even the pickiest of eaters! Try this recipe without slaving over a stovetop!

Ingredients:

½ lb. French green beans

2 handfuls of baby carrots

1 tsp salt

½ tsp ground black pepper

1 ½ tsp za’atar seasoning (found in any International or Middle Eastern grocery store)

¼ cup of garlic and herb flavored oil (I used Wegmans basting oil for this recipe)

Recipe:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Line a 13 x 9 inch baking sheet with tin foil

3. Slice the green beans and carrots into a bowl. Slice the veggies into relatively the same size.

4. Add the basting oil to the veggies, along with salt, black pepper, and Za’atar seasoning. Mix well and coat all the veggies with the seasonings and oil.

5. Add the seasoned veggies to the baking sheet and place it into the oven on convection roast for 12-15 minutes or on bake for 15-18 minutes.

6. Serve warm with rice, as a side to curries, baked fish, chicken dishes, or add it to a lemony pasta dish….Enjoy!!

Tips:

Oven temperatures vary so cook for a few extra minutes if you would like added char to the veggies.

Options for veggies to substitute or add: broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, onions, etc. Adjust cook time or seasonings if the veggie amounts change.

Use salt to taste if need be.
